Sosis Solo

Although both are named sausages, this one is not like sausages that we know in general. It is said that during the colonialism of the VOC (VereenigdeOostindischeCompagnie), western-style beef sausage was a snack of Dutch ‘noni-noni’ (young lady) favorite while drinking tea in the afternoon. Seeing this habit, Solo residents were tempted to try the new food.

Residents of Solo finally tried to make their own sausage version. After various experiments, they finally made a thin pancake filled with a mixture of minced chicken / beef then rolled in an oval shape resembling western-style sausages and then it is called Sosis Solo.
